Colin Stough exited American Idol on a high note. The country artist performed a duet with Luke Bryan after being eliminated from the Top 3 in the season 21 finale.
Bryan praised Stough’s music potential since day one on Idol. The “That’s My Kind Of Night” singer can be heard gushing about Stough in a highlight video that aired before their duet, saying, “You’re like becoming my little science experiment because I know every emotion going on in your head because I grew up very similar to the way you have.”
Bryan and the singer have similar backgrounds, with both growing up in small southern towns. Bryan is from Leesburg, GA, and Stough is from Gattman, Mississippi.
Stough and Bryan sang the “Slow Hand” cover together on stage. The duo’s performance ended with a fist bump and a standing ovation from fellow contestants. Colin Stough made it far in the competition but was eliminated during the finale despite his talent.
