Cody Johnson is not only an amazing country artist, but also one heck of a cowboy.

Before Cody became famous for his singing, he was a true cowboy with a ranch and riding bulls professionally.

The Texan native has always been passionate about the cowboy life.

Cody Johnson decided to create ‘COJO Open Roping Championships’ located in Bolton, Texas.

The COJO Open Roping Championship is an open team roping, amateur roping, and also a charity gala.

It is a five-day event that ultimately ended up raising $719,000 for the Different Day Foundation and Texas FFA.

The Different Day Foundation works to help women survivors heal from prostitution and exploitation. The DDF also provides a sanctuary safe place, 2 years of free housing, healthcare and trauma therapy, and meaningful employment.

The (FFA) Future Farmers of America is an organization to help youth learn leadership, career success, and personal growth through agricultural education.

We’ve heard Cody Johnson mention the FFA in his song “Welcome to the Show.”

We sure love Cody Johnson and his cowboy heart!
