We LOVE our local feel-good stories, and we think it’s important to share them.
The Dandridge community noticed a big fluffy dog had been wandering around for weeks.
Apparently, many Dandridge community members tried to catch him and help but he was too scared to come anywhere nearby.
This poor pup was posted all over the Dandridge community Facebook pages, and eventually a local advocate for animal rescue was contacted.
Leia Hyder immediately formed a plan to get this dog and rescue him.
Hyder and another community member found the dog and was able to get him to the vet for some help.
Unfortunately, the pup needed some surgeries, so Hyder took to the Facebook groups to share the news.
The community ended up raising $7,000 in donations to help this dog get better!
Hyder is currently trying to find this puppy his forever home, so if you know someone who would take this sweet baby contact Hyder!
