Megan Moroney is set for a big night tonight.
She’s nominated for two CMA Awards (New Artist and Song Of The Year) and is performing at the 57th Annual CMA Awards as well.
She’s also one of the fastest rising stars of the last few years, so you’d think she’d have her pick of anyone she wanted to accompany her as her date to the festivities.
And you’d be right.
Megan talked with Taste Of Country Nights about who is escorting her to the CMA’s – and it’s her dad!
“My dad is coming with me as my date, so…just thinking about how he taught me how to play guitar and got me into music…the fact that he gets to be my date, it’s just crazy.”
Speaking of dates and Megan Moroney, a selfie she posted of her and a bearded mystery man getting cozy has people wondering who that man is…and has many believing it’s fellow country star Riley Green.
While just about anyone would brag that it was 100% them with the rising country star, Riley went the other direction, and shut the rumors down entirely.
Green posted an Instagram story to the song “It Ain’t Me, Babe” by Johnny Cash while sitting in a deer stand – proving that he’s out in the woods and not at the awards with Megan Moroney.
