For years now the Salvation Army has done their annual Angel Tree & Silver Bell at Christmas time.
Both of these events give low-income families with donations during Christmas time.
These are such special events because it not only captures the Christmas spirits, but it benefits and helps out so many people and their families.
In Knox. Co. the registration for the Salvation Army Christmas Assistance in Knox County is coming up soon!
Starting September 18th-22nd and from September 25th-29th families can register for the Angel Tree and Silver Bell at the Salvation Army at 409 N. Broadway.
Families interested will need to bring your photo I.D., passport, birth certificate, or custody papers for children being registered and verification of income and expenses.
Families who registered must also attend a financial workshop. Here are the dates and times for those:
