Carly Pearce has a long-standing love for country music.
In her brand-new tune, “Country Music Made Me Do It,” the female songstress illustrates just how much the genre has impacted her life.
Co-written by Pearce with frequent collaborators Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, the upbeat love letter pays homage to all the life lessons, heartbreak remedies, and passion rooted in the storylines of traditional country music.
“Country music made me do it / Got me drunk and got me through it / A little heartbreak 80 proof / Over three chords and the truth / Out of a small town and into a ball gown / Picking me up every time that I fall down / Everything I’ve done wrong or I’ve done right / Oh country music made me do it and I’ll do it till I die,” the Grammy Award-winner sings on the chorus.
