Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, and more pay tribute to Keith Gattis, a country artist and songwriter who passed away over the weekend at the age of 52.
The Texas songwriter died on April 23. The cause of death was unclear as of Monday (April 24).
Gattis wrote music for George Jones, Willie Nelson, Gary Allan, and more. He produced for artists including Waylon Payne, Kendall Marvel, Wade Bowen, and Randy Houser.
“He was the guy you wish you could be as cool as. From his own records [to] his style, his swagger… Keith was always himself. I really admired him, and I wish I would (have) told him that. It’s hard to only be left with memories,” Jake Owen wrote on Instagram.
